Mobile Bicycle Repairs - We Come To You

See all the latest news from Cycle Tech. Read about our very popular Saturday Bike Clinic where you can drop in or your bike off, for a tune up of gears or a complete bike build. Cycle Tech also sponsors Will Houghton who rides a Cinelli. And at the age of 16 is showing a lot of potential. Sadly Will was killed while out riding - his good name is kept alive with social charity rides Ride4Will.
Cycle Tech supports the cycle events and charity ride every year. Our Tuesday and the odd Sunday bike ride, The Casual Cyclist. You can also find info, like  How to build a new bike in a box and things you should know before buying a new bike. See article post Bicycle Shape Objects. You can also learn to fix your own bike with Cycle Tech's The practical bicycle home mechanics school

A little more about Cycle Tech 'The mobile bicycle shop'. Cycle Tech is an energetic business and smart alternative to the traditional bicycle shop. Operating from a large mobile workshop, coming to your home or place of work, and providing repairs to all makes and types of bicycles. Customer care, wide range of parts, accessories & bicycles, with ongoing service and maintenance.
Martin then started in the bicycle trade aged 15 in 1984. Working at the local bicycle shop in High Wycombe. As a keen cyclist and trained mechanic, he returned to the bike trade and started Cycle Tech in December 2007. And expanded in 2013 to a cooperate Company Cycle Tech UK Ltd with over 40 other mobile mechanics joining our network. And in 2016 returned to a sole trader - allowing me to keep the network running, fix bikes local, teaching, spend more time cycling and travelling.
Martin is Cytec 1& 2 qualified, Campagnolo qualified and City & Guilds in Disc brake and suspension, BOSCH e bike Expert. With Martin’s mechanical background and training he is able to work to a high standard. Having a fully equipped mobile workshop, Cycle Tech can come to your home or place of work. No need to take your bike to the shop again!

Friendly Bicycle Mechanic

Martin started fixing bikes at a young age of 9 years old, back in the late 70's first buying old bikes from friends and stripping the bikes down to a bear frame and re-painting and using parts off other bikes to make good.  In the 80's he was riding BMX's. First fixing friends Bikes and then getting a job working at the local bike shop, in High Wycombe part time Saturdays and holidays and then I left school at 15 to work full time. Spending all my money on building my own bikes and my time riding

Thanks very much for the service yesterday. I rode my bike in to work this morning and all I can say is wow! The difference is remarkable and well worth every penny. I flew in. I got all the way up Amersham hill in one go without even going to the highest gear and that's never happened before. I've had my bike serviced twice before and no one has ever mentioned the tyre pressure issue. I guess I'm a bit old skool in that I pump it 'till it's 'ard!' I didn't realise doing it properly would make such a difference. I have a lot to learn. Oh, the pump is great too.

With your permission I'd like to email all the cyclists here and recommend your services as I'm very impressed. I work in Rickmansworth so some may be a bit far for you but I know a couple of the guys here who cycle live in the Wycombe area. Also I'll be in touch when we get back from our break about the possibility of doing a one day course. My tools arrive today so it might be an idea if I know what to do with them :)

    Thanks again.

    Matthew.

  2. Hi Martin

I noticed a massive difference in my bike too, it was so smooth to ride yesterday – it felt like a well oiled machine! Also, it looks like the pump will make it onto the trip with us after all

    Many Thanks

    Natasha
